Last Friday we did a science experiment called Frankenworms where we used the Scientific method to try and bring gummy worms back to life!
First, they cut their gummy worms in half to make them skinnier!
Next, they put their gummy worms in a cup of baking soda/water mixture. They let the worms soak in this mixture for about 20 minutes!
Then, they used a fork to remove their worms from the baking soda/water mixture and place then in a jar of vinegar!
Finally, they watched the gummy worms come to life as the worms started to jiggle and wiggle all around!
Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came and helped me make this project successful! The kids had an awesome time and learned about the scientific method in the process!
