How to blow a bubble, classroom pics, & a Cowboy Christmas!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break! It was wonderful to see all of the students today back at school! Here are a few pictures of things we did before Christmas break! Sorry I am so late to post all of these! I had a very busy break as I'm sure all of you did also!

We did a "How to.." writing project on how to blow a bubble! The kids loved this!

The kids did an amazing job at our 1st grade Christmas program! I was so proud of them!

Also, we had a special treat the last week of school before break, some of the students from L.F. Henderson came to our room to read a book to our class and then they helped our kids make a snow globe ornament! The kids loved this activity!

THANK YOU to everyone who has been cutting out and collecting box tops! Hard work pays off!!! If your child did not tell you our class WON the box tops contest that ended right before Christmas break! The kids got to enjoy a nice movie afternoon with Mrs. Cross where they were served with popcorn and Sierra Mist as their reward! There is a note in your child's folder explaining the new box tops contest that we started today!

Our Christmas party was a success! Thank you to all the parents and family members that attended and helped me so much! I am so appreciative and thankful to have such a supportive and helpful group of parents!

This week we will be working on words that have the long o sound (o says its name) and sneaky e at the end! For example: phone, stole, pole, etc.

Please remember to check your child's folder everyday! This Thursday Jan 10th report cards will be sent home!

Hope everyone has a great week!
